These conditions apply to the private hire of transport, not operating as package, as defined by the package travel, package holidays and package tour regulations 1992. These terms and conditions also form part of our hire acceptance including day excursions provided by the company.
- Applications
These conditions apply whether a contract has been made verbally or in writing. The hirer acts on behalf of all the passengers travelling on the vehicle or vehicles. The hirer is responsible for the actions and decisions of all the passengers.
- Quotations
Quotations are given on the basis of the most direct route and the information supplied. The route is at the discretion of the company unless a route has been specified. All quotations are subject to the vehicle(s) being available. Quotations are valid for 28 days unless otherwise specified.
- Use of vehicle
The vehicle is to be used between the outward and return journey only unless otherwise specified. This must be agreed with the company in advance.
- Route and Time Variation
The company retains the right to levy additional charges for mileage or time other than that agreed. The vehicle will depart and return at the agreed times. It is the responsibility of the hirer for all passengers at those times.
- Drivers Hours
The number of hours the driver can operate for is regulated by law. Therefore the hirer will ensure that times are adhered to at all times. Neither passengers or driver will delay the journey in such a way that the drivers hours would be interrupted.
- Seating Capacity
At the time of booking the company will specify the seating capacity on the vehicle booked. The hirer must not load the vehicle beyond this capacity.
- Conveyance of Animals
No animals (except guide dogs or hearing dogs) will be carried on any of the vehicles unless written permission has been granted from the company.
- Confirmation
Written confirmation of any booking must be received and is the only basis for the acceptance of a hiring or subsequently for any alterations to the booking a 10% deposit is required with confirmation of booking.
- Payment
All deposits must be paid by the date stated. Payment in full will be required upon invoice being sent unless otherwise agreed by the company. It will be stated by the company if payment in full is required before commencement of any work being undertaken. The company reserve the right to add 5% of the total invoice for any late payments beyond 1 calender month.
We accept credit and debit card payments.
- Cancellation by the Hirer
If the hirer cancels then the following scale of charges will apply.

6- 10 days before hire 50%
0 – 5 days before hire 100%
Any admission costs, meals etc that have been paid for by the company at the request of the hirer and booked and paid for will also be charged at 100%. Any tickets booked are non refundable and must be paid in full at time of booking.
- Cancellation by the company
In the event of any emergency, riot, civil commotion, strike, lockout, stoppage or restraint of labour, including last minute sickness and shortage of labour, of the happening of any event over which the company has no control (including adverse weather and road conditions) then the company will not be liable to return any monies. Should the company cancel the hire of a coach(es) or day trip for any other reason other than stated above then a full refund will be payable to the hirer or passengers.
- Vehicle Provided.
The company reserves the right to provide a larger vehicle than specified at no additional charge unless all the extra seating is used. The company reserves the right to substitute any vehicle should it be necessary for whatever reason.
- Breakdown and Delays
The advice given by the company is given in good faith. However as a result of breakdown, traffic congestion or events beyond the control of the company then the journey may take longer than specified but the company will not be liable.
- Agency Arrangements
When the company hires in vehicles from other operators any terms and conditions imposed by such supplier shall be binding to the hirer.
- Passengers Property
This will be the responsibility of the passengers at all times and the company will not be liable for any belongings lost or left on the coach. Any lost property will be held at the coach premises and subject to the public service (lost property) regulations. Any property unclaimed within three calendar months of the date found will be disposed of in accordance with the statutory regulations.
- Conduct of Passengers
The on board staff are responsible for the vehicle at all times and will remove any passenger(s) whose behaviour prejudices safety in breach of public service regulation 1990. The hirer is responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle by any passenger during it's hire.
Should a passenger soil or vomit whilst on board the hirer will be subject to a £40 charge for the cleaning of the upholstery.
The hirer will be charged for any repair costs that are incurred through passenger damage whilst the vehicle was on hire.
- Complaints
In the event of a complaint the hirer should seek a solution at the time by asking for assistance from the company staff on board. If this is not satisfactory then complaints should be received in the office in writing within 14 days of the termination of the hire.
- Notices
No notices shall be displayed in the coach without prior written consent from the company.
- Refreshments
No food or beverage shall be consumed on the bus without consent of the driver . No alcohol will be permitted at any time on the vehicle.
- Surcharges
Up to 30 days prior to departure the company reserves the right to pass on any increases as regards the cost of fuel, taxes imposed by the government of the UK, and any road tolls. No surcharges will be levied within 30 days of departure. The hirer may cancel the booking at any time but the scale of cancellation charges will come into effect.
