Blackpool is probably, the most well-known and liveliest resort of them all with an abundance of attractions for all ages. The world famous illuminations transform The Tower and seafront into a magical world of light and colour the full length of the Golden Mile.

The Queens Hotel is perfectly situated on the seafront between the Central and South Piers, a short walk from the Pleasure Beach and the spectacular Sandcastle Water Park. All rooms are en-suite with tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, internal telephone and TV. There are lifts to all floors, although there are several stairs to some rooms.

Day 1:   Leaving our local area we make our way North taking comfort stops and lunch en-route before arriving at our hotel, after your evening meal the coach will take you on a tour of the illuminations, the full length of the Golden Mile before returning to the hotel.

Day 2:   Today you can spend the day at leisure in this traditional seaside town. Visit the iconic Tower or catch a tram to take in the resorts many famous landmarks.

Day 3:   After breakfast we must leave Blackpool behind. We will stop for some free time and lunch at the Trentham Shopping Village and Garden Centre before arriving in our local area early evening

PIES, PINTS, POTS AND PUDDINGS

This tour takes you into 4 counties of the Midlands the centre of England, we will be visiting Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire

Our hotel for the weekend is the Jurys Inn in Nottingham, situated a short walk from The Old Market Square which features a variety of shops. The modern spacious bedrooms have a flat screen tv, spa toiletries, hair dryer and air conditioning. Tea and coffee making facilities and free Wi-Fi. The hotel also features an all-day Costa coffee bar.

Day 1:   Leaving our local area and making comfort breaks we head on into Staffordshire for a tour of the famous Wedgewood pottery factory. After lunch we continue our journey onto our hotel in Nottingham.

Day 2:   Today, after breakfast we head into Derbyshire to the pretty town of Bakewell best known for its unique and delicious pudding. After lunch we continue onto the Denby Pottery Village and Factory Shop, the site was founded by the Bourn family and has been making pottery for over 200 years.

Day 3:   This morning after breakfast we are off to Staffordshire to visit the National Brewery Centre, where famous brands like IPA and Red Shield are produced. We take a guided tour around this historic museum culminating in a beer tasting session where you get to sample some of the award winning ales brewed on site. The rest of the day you have at leisure in Burton upon Trent

Day 4:   Leaving after breakfast we travel to Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire for a Traditional Pork Pie Making Demonstration in the “Olde Pork Pie Shoppe” where they have been making pork pies since 1851. You then have some free time before we continue on our journey home

TURKEY & TINSEL - BIDEFORD

The historic harbour town of Bideford is packed with independent quirky shops, local produce and the picturesque quay, it was once Britain’s third largest port.

The Durrant Hotel is on the outskirts of the historic port of Bideford and has views over the Torridge estuary and is within easy reach of the area’s sandy beaches and beautiful countryside. All rooms are en-suite with tea/coffee making facilities, TV’s and hairdryers.

Day 1:   From our local departure points we travel down and across to Devon with comfort stops and lunch break before arrival at our hotel in good time for dinner and seasonal entertainment.

Day 2:   Today after a full English breakfast we take a tour of the area visiting Ilfracombe, Appledore and Westward Ho! Arriving back at our hotel to await a visit from Santa followed by a traditional festive dinner with complimentary glass of bubbly followed by evening entertainment.   

Day 3:   After breakfast today,  you have the day at leisure to explore Bideford, todays evening meal will be followed by seasonal Entertainment

Day 4:  This morning after breakfast we travel along the coast to Bude Cornwall’s most northern town a popular seaside resort from Victorian times we spend some time here before travelling back into Devon to the historic market town of Great Torrington in the heart of Devon, it commands spectacular views over the River Torridge and there is a refurbished Victorian Pannier Market with a variety of interesting shops and stalls. We return to our hotel to prepare for our evening meal which will be followed by Party Night with optional fancy dress competition.

Day 5:  Today we must sadly make our way home, making comfort stops along the way.

CAERNARFON WINTER WARMER

North Wales with its thrilling mountain scenery also boasts many historical sites, deep ravines and picturesque valleys, seaside resorts and charming towns such as Caernarfon famous for its imposing castle and historic centre.

The Celtic Royal Hotel is located just 15 minutes’ walk from Caernarfon’s walled old town. All rooms are equipped with a TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Residents enjoy complimentary access to all the leisure facilities, gym, heated indoor swimming pool and steam room.

Day 1:   We leave our local area travelling to Caernarfon stopping for comfort breaks and a lunch stop in Shrewsbury before arriving at our hotel for our Mulled Wine Reception before our evening meal

Day 2:  After breakfast today we visit Bodnant Gardens a world famous garden created over 150 years with year round colour it is one of the most beautiful gardens in the UK, situated above the River Conwy and looking across the valley towards the Snowdonia range. We then travel onto Conwy where you have time at leisure to explore this world heritage site with its 13th century castle, medieval walls and quaint harbour.

Day 3:   Today you have at leisure in Caernarfon

Day 4:  This morning we visit Beaumaris on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey where you can explore a medieval castle or stroll along the seafront taking in the views over the Menai Strait and Snowdonia, wander through the charming streets with its picturesque cottages. After lunch we travel on to Bangor a cathedral city built on the shores of the Menai Straits, where you have time at leisure to explore the maze of little streets and reputedly Wales’s longest High Street, and the Victorian pier which stretches out towards Anglesey.

Day 5: Leaving after breakfast we begin our journey home, taking comfort stops and a lunch break at Trentham shopping village before arriving back in our local area

Scarborough is Britain’s oldest holiday resort known as the ‘Queen of the Yorkshire Coast’. Set on Yorkshire’s glorious north coastline it is a fine Victorian Spa town with one of the finest and safest beaches in Britain, and close to some of England’s most beautiful scenery.

The Delmont Hotel in Scarborough is situated with some views of the North Bay in this popular town. All rooms are en-suite with free view TV, internal phone and tea & coffee making facilities. There is a lift although some steps may occur.

Day 1:  Xmas Eve We begin our journey North, making comfort stops en-route and a break for lunch before arriving at our hotel where festivities start with a drinks reception and dinner is followed by an evening of festive entertainment.

Day 2:  Xmas Day   Today, after breakfast we travel to Pickering Gateway to the Yorkshire Moors where you have time at leisure to explore this bustling and vibrant market town with its independent retailers, Beck Isle Museum and a stunning Saxon Church. This evening there will be a candle lit Christmas Dinner with complimentary glass of wine and a visit from a special guest, followed by festive entertainment. 

Day 3: New Year’s Eve   After breakfast today, you have the day at leisure to explore Scarborough before your New Year celebrations party with optional Fancy Dress.

Day 4:   Leaving after breakfast, we make our way home, taking comfort stops and a break for lunch, before arriving back in our local area

CHRISTMAS ON THE ISLE OF WIGHT

Shanklin is beautifully situated on the cliffs bordering the South East coast of the Isle of Wight and is sheltered to the west by high-lying downs, the town is split with the old village lying on the cliff top and the new village nestled close to the sea, the two are connected by a cliff lift.

The Shanklin Hotel is one of the best-known hotels on the island and is situated in Shanklin town with superb views from its magnificent Starlite restaurant. Shanklin Old Village is a few minutes’ walk away.

All rooms are en-suite with tea/coffee making facilities, telephone, hairdryer and TV. A lift serves most rooms however some steps may occur.

Day 1:   Departing from our local pick up points, our journey will take us to the south coast to cross the solent. Arriving at our hotel in time for our evening dinner, followed by music, dancing and entertainment.

Day 2:    Christmas Eve: Today after breakfast we take a tour along the coast to the needles where we have a short stop before travelling to the ancient village of Arreton in the geographical heart of the island where we have a stop at Arreton Barns the islands largest arts and crafts centre, for any last minute shopping and then onto the picturesque village of Godshill with some of the oldest architecture on the Isle of Wight before returning to the hotel for Dinner and entertainment.

Day 3:    Christmas Day:  Morning at leisure. Christmas Day Traditional festive lunch with visit from Santa. An evening dinner followed by a Christmas Party.

Day 4:    Boxing Day:   After breakfast we visit Ryde a traditional seaside town with Victorian architecture and much loved by Queen Victoria which you have time at leisure to explore before returning to the hotel for Boxing Day lunch and an afternoon at leisure followed by dinner and farewell Fancy dress party (optional), dancing and entertainment

Day 5:      After breakfast we leave this beautiful part of the country and start homeward. With comfort stops for coffee and lunch, we arrive back in our local area by late afternoon

Sussex a historic county in the south of England is made up of the beautiful South Downs National Park and covers a coastal area along the English Channel. Bognor Regis in West Sussex is a traditional seaside resort with a bustling town centre and famous for long hours of sunshine.

The Royal Norfolk Hotel commands a beachfront position with far-reaching views over the English Channel. It is a short walk from the pier and shops and has a relaxing quiet lounge looking out onto the garden.  All rooms have central heating and en-suite bathrooms, a flat screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a lift which serves most rooms however some steps may occur.

Day 1:   We leave our local area and travel to Sussex stopping for comfort and lunch breaks. We arrive at our hotel ready for the festivities to begin.

Day 2:   New Year’s Eve:  A morning of leisure before sitting down to enjoy your New Years Eve lunch, then free time to explore Bognor Regis before your evening meal and entertainment. 

Day 3:   New Year’s Day:  After a late brunch we take a trip to Arundel one of the prettiest towns in South East England where you have some time at leisure we then travel onto Worthing the largest seaside town in West Sussex before we return to the hotel for dinner and evening entertainment

Day 4:   Leaving after breakfast, we make our way home, taking comfort stops and a break for lunch, before arriving back in our local area
